hello, I am new to this forum and I am looking for some help.

I am thinking of buying a ps2 soon, and I would like to be able to play backups, but I dont want to void the warranty..

So I checked the net and I read about swap magic v3.3, which seems to be would I am looking for. what I would like to know is if it is a reliable thing?.. does it cause any damage to my ps2 or its lense?

other than having to boot the disk each time I want to play a game, is there any other inconvience compared with having a mod chip instaled?

concerning the slide card, what is it for, and how does this work? must I have this in order to use the swap magic disks properlly?

on last thing: do these disks work with the latest version of ps2 (slim)? do I have to do any thing differently then I would have to with an earleir version? should I buy an earlier version?

thanks a lot for your help, take care!
