This is very complicated. I am trying to copy short video clips from my computer to the VCR. I can play VCR video on the computer in the composite setting but I can't copy movies from the computer to the VCR. I am using an ATI All In Wonder 128 card. And I cannot enable TV Out because I am not connected to a TV.

I think that maybe my cable connections are the problem in that I don't think I can have the In and Out AV connected at the same time. Only one or the other.

The ALL IN Wonder 128 card comes with a purple input adapter and a 3-split (RCA, S-video option and sound) Line Out cable. The purple built-in cable from the Input Adapter outside the computer is connected to the AV In of the ALL IN Wonder card in the PC. Then I have an RCA cable running from the yellow rimmmed port of the Input Adapter to the yellow rimmed AV port of the VCR. The adapter has one RCA connection and what appears to be an option to use one S-Video connection.

Since there are no other video connections that I can see either on the Input Adapter or the VCR, should I DISCONNECT the RCA input adapter connection and make a straight connection from the computer AV Out 3-split RCA cable to the VCR when I want to record video from computer to VCR?
