I have a A05....that work great btw......The only problem is that I can only burn at 1x with media that burns at 2x in an A04. The media is Optodisc. I tried 2x pioneer rw media and it burned 2x, also 4x pioneer media burs at 4x. I tried in Nero and Record now....same with both. Any ideas??? TIA!

I think OptoDisc is just a re-brand of Ritek (G3). One firmware version of the Pioneer A04 supported burning it at 2x, but the A05 doesn't have that media as 2x in it's tables.

You'll either have to wait for Pioneer to update their firmware to support burning the Ritek at 2x, or Gadius to come up with a 2x4all firmware hack for the A05.
