Copying -VR DVD disks

I have standalone DVD Recorders (SONY and PIONEER) that allow formatting of -RW disks in the VR format which allows on disk editing.
I have a dual layer Sony burner DRU-700A and wish to replicate the -VR disks on the 700A.

DVD Shrink won't recognise the VR format. Can anyone suggest any copying software that will copy -VR disks?
NeroVision Express 2 allows importing of VR disks and I can burn that way. However it won't fully import one particular disk I have, importing only 3 mins of a 90 min title.
This work around is usually ok although a little tedious. I am looking for software that will do a straight disk copy. Decrypter, Shrink, DVD XCopy all won't recognise a VR disk. i would really appreciate suggestions here.
