recently i bought a mad dog 16x dvd+/- double layer burner. So I decided to burn mpeg files, I can fit 10 of them on a dvd. i burn the dvd and tested it on my dvd plyer on my computer and it plays fine. So I go out and buy a sony dvd plyer model DVP-NC875V, I called up sony and they told me it plays both DVD+r/rw and DVD-r/rw. When i put the dvd disc in, it wont play. I used Memorex DVD+r disc to burn the mpeg files and i tried using Memorex DVD+rw and a dvd disc with no brand. The 3 DVD disc plays fine on my dvd player on my computer but it wont play on my new dvd player. Can someone please help me out.

I am having the same problems, i am also new to this and it plays fine on the computer, but not on the standalone dvd player. the dvd player is supposed to play the DVD-R's. Thanks!
