Ok, I just got a new TV Card for my PC (Pinnacle PCTV Stereo) , I'm trying to convert it to a home theatre TIVO type system. My video card is a 9600XT, I have my television hooked up via S-Video, and I have my Philips 5.1 reciever connected via a digital audio output from my onboard sound card (Motherboard: Asus P4P800 Deluxe) , The audio output works perfectly for everything except my new TV Card! , If I choose to pause live tv (time shift) or record and playback I can hear the audio output just fine on my reciever and my headphones (connected directly to audio output on motherboard) but when playing live tv i can only hear the sound on my headphones! ,I'm convinced it is a matter of software / hardware configuration but I just can't figure it out. The TV Card has a line out (mini jack) which i have connected to the line in mini jack on the motherboard sound, I also have the CD Player (internal) connection connected so i can switch between them in the sound settings if necessary, But I just cant figure out how to get the sound from live tv to come out on my 5.1 system! , Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!
