Hi Bud. I had this problem first too. Your copy of CloneCD needs registering (you need a registration code), otherwise you will keep getting this error message.

ok I have a hitachi drive on the 360 modded i have a nec 3550a burner using dvdinfo pro with everything set to -rom and using verbatim dvd now when i insert the game some do nothing and some say dirty disc error. any help? PLease im on my 7th verbatim dvd

i have a LG GSA-H10L burner, i used dvd info pro and changed it to -rom and burned at 2x, i used Dynex double layer DVD+R cd's and used clone cd, i have a hitachi drive and it stil says dirty disc error.
can someone please help me? and if its the dvd's im using, whats the one that your prefer for the most reasonable price?

Hey, I can get the copied 360 games for 15 dollars each, and I'm really considering doing this mod, but what's the chances that MS will totally ban people off Xbox Live through a patch or something?
Isn't the firmware thing just an update to the DVD drive in the 360, and couldn't it just be rolled back to its default settings if they do release a patch?
And is the firmware mod difficult to do? Or would I have to go to a store that does it and pay them to do it for me?

Oh, and with the kits that you can get off the net that you use to mod the firmware yourself, they can be used on multiple consoles, right?
A friend and I were thinking about going halves and getting one.

Figured it out :D, I had to update my CloneCD to the latest version!!
@ Daz74 - I haven't tried it myself but I have seen tutorials on using DVD Decrypter instead of CloneCD. I'll try and find a link.
@ xHaydenx - no one knows for sure what Microsoft will be able to do in the future. It's entirely possible that they could block modded units from accessing XBox Live. The mod is completely reverseable though. I had someone do mine but from what I've read, everyone says that it's quite simple to do yourself. What is in this kit? All you really need is a screwdriver or something to open the case and a SATA cable. So yeah, you could use it as many times as you wanted.

Cool, sounds heaps better than a chip you would be stuck with. I might get one. I don't actually play online that much at the moment. I just hope they don't ever think of releasing a patch that bans you from playing offline and wipes ur gamertag while it's at it.

Hi if you buy X360 USB with FREE V2 Team Xecuter Connectivity Kit this allows you to connect a external sata hard drive all the cables come with it and I was I have a torrent game and I want to put that on my 400 sata external hard drive but how would the xbox 360 play that game when its on my 400 sata external hard drive? ps I new a site were a person but in a hard drive and then ripped games to the hard drive and he never needed to buy game but forgotten that site oh well.

Don't have time to read 6 pages of comments, however if your not sure how to safely open your xbox without damaging or removing any screws or anything. Seach for pics or a faq of a homemade plastic smile key. to insert into the back of the 360. A very safe way to open your 360. Hope it helps. If not let me know and i'll set you up with a link, if your still lost.

is it also possible to copy the game by extracting the files instead of dumping them? I am getting lots of crc errors whent i try to dump the game, but i get none if i extract the files using wx360 after the magic number is found and the disc's have been swapped. the disc files I extract are smaller than the dumped image (even though it did not finish all the way), so this is why I ask. I am also having the globe 360 mod chip put in my box. will it be possible to get the security sectors from a game using that alone or do I have to flash the firmware? I have an hitachi drive. That doesn't matter thought since it is impossible to find the files to flash it anyway. Thanks for any help.

when you say needed tools xtreme firmware update, does that mean the chip in the xbox console or is it an actual update? and cant Nero or dvddecrypter burn the iso or is it just clonecd? please reply thanks m8

ok finally i ve .ISO image file of a game.
when im trying to merge (ss merger 1.7) the ss file, it says that my iso is smaller than wxripper style but larger than xtreme style.
what im doing wrong?

I purchased the Samsung SH-S182D DVD Writer. My Xbox 360 has the Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943 Drive flashed with Xtreme33. I burnt a scene release tonight (NBA 2K7) (my first attempt at burning an xbox 360 game). Burn went fine. I used clonecd. I get the "unrecognized disc" error when the 360 tries to read the disc. I used a Ridata +R DL disc. Is this just a problem with the media I used. I understand that my writer sets the booktype to DVD-ROM by default, and if the xtreme33 firmware ignores the booktype setting, it shouldn't matter anyway. Is this just a media problem? I'm 100% confident the flash when fine. Original copy of PGR3 boots fine.
EDIT: Never mind. I booted the Xbox 360 with the game in. I got a message indicating "an update is required to play this game". Applied the update. X360 automatically rebooted. The game works. Jubilation begins.
Update: Game doesn't always boot on first attempt. The Xbox360 laser is really working hard trying to read the disc. I hope this just a media issue.

Ridata. Every things fine now. The game is booting perfectly right now. It just seems that I had to reboot a few times. I plan to use Verbatim's from now on.

I had the same problem. I'm willing to bet you have OPA's 7in1 on your 360. Get Birdy's flasher version 2.2Fixed with the mediapatch and flash with that. You'll quickly find you now have 7 copies of a game. lol.
