Formatting hard drive with hdloader

I just bought another maxtor for hdloader. Do I have to format the hard drive in anyway before I format it with hdloader? Or can I just take my hard drive I got and format it with hdloader directly?

Cause on the hard drive i have right now, it was used for my pc which was formatted with windows. So do i need to format the hd with windows first or something?

no you dont have to do anything extra. just let hdloader format it.
