Nero Vision Error Message - Please Help!

I am using Nero Vision along with a new Memorex DVD Burner and received error message. I am burning an .avi file to DVD and after 8 hrs I received a message "Nerovision has caused an error in Neroapi.dll" I am using the included Memorex DVD R/w disc included in package.

What can be the problem? Also why does it take 5-10 hrs to burn an .avi file to DVD in NeroVision? I switched from a Pioneer DVR-104 to a Memorex DVD burner supposedly because I thought the Memorex burned at 2.4x vs 1x on the Pioneer for R/W disc.

I would appreciate any help!

In a couple of other forums,this product recieved very poor reviews! I have yet to find someone that likes it!
