Hi,
I just ran my writer through DVD Identifier. I bought some 8X fujifilm DVD+r's and Khypermedias but can't write them. I was hoping if I had a firmware upgrade, it might work?!
I have a Memorex burner. The following is what the identifier says:

I went to the Memorex website, and emailed the support, and they said they haven't made a firmware upgrade for the 8X yet. Is this correct, or can I get one that will work?

just know ... and improperly flashed drive will ruin it and void any warranties.
