Can any1 tell me why 75 out of 80 movies that i burned are bad? They play fine until the middle an the end. I already used different kinds of blanks, my drive burns at 4x, its a new compaq presario computer, i also used clone dvd an the same thing happens. I already throw away about 80 dvd's, can somebody PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
Not sure what software you are using but if you are using DVD Shrink then reduce the disc volume down to 4300 as this stops burning close to the outer edge.
Try using a good brand of media, like TDK, Sony and Verbantim just to name a few.
And, use a DVD Re-writable disc, so you can get your burning down to a fine art so as not to waste all your good media.
And make sure all programs running in the background are disabled, also the screensaver.
I hope this is of some help
Ok, so how about trying to rip the movie to your hard drive with DVD Shrink and then using Nero to burn it.
Or, you can use DVD Decrypter to rip it as well as burn it.
These two programs are free.
The best thing with DVD Decrypter is that it can rip the movie and also burn it for you, so no expensive outlays to buy copying programs.
See if this helps.
Hey Eric ... I get the same problem and have wasted tons of CDs as well. This is a project that has been bothering me for so long. I use Xcopy Platinum as well... Ive used DVD Shrink and Nero and still I get the skipping at the end... Let me know if you got anywhere
This question has been asked and answered many hundreds of times - try the search button at top of page for some answers e.g., input freezing or skipping.
Problem invariably due to:
1. Poor quality media - Ritek, Verbatim or TY's suggested.
2. Burning too fast (max 4X suggested).
3. The use of labels on burnt DVD's.
4. Media incompatible with standalone player (try on different standalone).
5. Fragmented hard drive.
