computer restarts by itself when dvd/cd is in drive

i just installed a dvd burner and when i restart my computer, it will begin to load and then restart by itself until i take out the cd or dvd from the dvd drive. my second drive doesnt have this problem. did i install something wrong or is there a way to fix this so i dont have to take out the dvd/cd everytime i restart my comp?
