What kind of T.V. are you playing your XBOX on?

Hello everyone,
I intend to purchase a large flat-screen television this week. This television will be exclusively for XBOX use ONLY.
With that said, I have done research on the different types and formats of t.v.s and went into Best Buy and Circuit City asking questions.
The problem is, everyone I asked gave me conflicting answers so I knew I had to ask this question on a forum with fellow XBOX players.
Which type/format of t.v. is best for the XBOX?
Do video games ruin plasma and lcd screens as well as projection screens? It is better to get a full-screen t.v. as opposed to wide-screen or are XBOX games formatted for both?
I intend to purchase HD component cables for better picture quality.
To sum it all up, I need to know which is better for video games ..
1)plasma vs. lcd vs. tube vs. projection and
2)full screen vs. wide-screen formats
remember this is just for XBOX
Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
