i just recieved my netwrk adapter and i tried connecting my western digital 60gb drive but it did not fit,.

I then just cut some metal of the metal guard which gave the soclets room to slie around , it seem s the pal one i got is adjustable but the metal guard stops it.

Anywho i booted up the ps2 i can hear the drive spinning , i put in my dvd r backup of hdadvance (it was only 2mb) it loads up to the Hdadvance screen then after ages it says hdd not found check connection.

Is it to do with my hard drive?

do i have to format it to ps2 format then will it read?
