i wanted to get my pstwo modded and i was wondering if the online features would not work if it was modded? i was thinking mayby they would have something in pace that would detect it and stop me from connecting to or joining online games? and can u play backup games online?

yes you can, you just put the modchip in sleep mode (for original games). For backup games, http://ps2nfo.com/on-line.html
