How do I Convert .VCR video files to AVI, MPEG Etc. ?

I have a new ATI Video Capture Card. It records all TV Video as ".vcr" files. How can I convert these files to a more common AVI or MPEG or other format ?
I cant find any software that even recognizes the .vcr format.

Any help appreciated

only capture card i know that converts vhs video to AVI is matrox rtx.10 with premiere pro 1.5 to capture
included in the box

ATI Multimedia center > Media Library > select file > right click: export to MPEG
