Which Burn Procedure for Which Game Console?

I have been reading all the discussion on the burning of PS2 games and have become more confused than when I started. I read DVD Decrypter was the answer. I tried that, did not work, got the red screen on the console.Also have read about swap magic,modchip,gamejack,etc.. I dont have the new slimline, I have the original console. So can anyone tell me which would work for that console. I use Ritek 8x DVD-R and have a NEC 16x burner.Any help would be great.

With out a modchip or swap magic you wont be able to play backups on your ps2.

Swap magic is what i use easy to install without taking
apart your ps2
