Well I bought some dvd rw disc they are Memorex dvd-rw and when I put them in the dvd it says reading then Failed. It came with one disc when I bought this unit and I was able to copy to that disc. I read the owners manual and it said go to their site for supported brand disc but I didn't see it any where. What brand should I buy for this unit? Thanks for all your help and sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot

Wrong forum, check out home entertainment forum,dvd home burners. But all you have to do is put some +r or +rw discs in it. The ilo only burns + format only. Not the - "dash". It's listed on the specs,it will play both - and + but burns + only.

Stick with highquality media in both pc and home recorder burning.
