i copied a vhs tape on to a dvd via my dvd converter. After the conversion it was put in to .vro automatically. i converted to .avi and when i go to play it in windows media or quicktime it just plays the audio but the video is a black screen. what do i do? thanx in advance.

I'm not familiar with the .vro part, but if the conversion is successful, and you're getting audio but not video, then you probably do not have all the necessary codecs. Try install K-lite codec Pack (full version) together with Media Player Classic at here and see if you can play with MPC:
