Burning a PowerPoint presentation to DVD

Hi, I'm hoping that some one can help me. I made a powerpoint presentation and set it to music for my Mom for her birthday. I have a converter program (PowerPoint2DVD)that converts the file to DVD format. I burned the files to DVD-RW using NERO 6. On the computer it plays perfect, on the stand alone DVD players we have in the house, on one (TV/VRC combo, Toshiba) the music and tempo of the show is playing fast, and on the other (stand alone machine, JVC type, newer model) the music is choppy and scratchy some times cutting out altoghther and the flow of the screens is not smooth at all. any ideas....
