hei...im new hir...i have this report coming up...and i need to cut a video clip from a DAT file...my problem is...the movie maker that i am using doesnt support a DAT file...so do you think i need to convert the DAT file to mpeg or sumthing...and if i shud...how can i convert it....

Maybe this isn't the proper forum for this question Use MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 encoding (AVI to DVD) for that] In particular, your question has already been answered and 'stickyed'. Read http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/113405 .
