I've been trying to get a PS2 for a while (it's next to impossible with the global shortage) and I've been trying to figure out what to do about playing backups.

Swap Magic and a PS2LiD look like a good match for me, but I worry about hassles with games and ease of use. I'm looking to buy a v12, seeing as a used PS2 doesn't really appeal much to me.

Are there really that many problems with it, or is it overblown? I don't really mind a swap, but I've been hearing of games not working for it, and that it becomes a real hassle if you just want to play.

I've also been looking at the DMS4 EZI, and that actually looks really nice. I don't mind paying the price, seeing as it's supposed to do EVERYTHING and it doesn't require soldering.

So, my question is : should I wait for the DMS4 EZI to come out for v12s or should I go ahead and buy Swap Magic?

I'd really appreciate some honest feedback. Thanks guys.
