How do you boot Disc ID With the new PSTWO (slimline)

When i run DiscID it says put in the ps2 game or w/e. When i do it just comes out to errors. When i leave it open its searching for the DiscID but it stays there for a long time and when i close it it just goes to error. Also i have a modchip! I have Matrix Infinity version 1.33. Anyone have any suggestions?
