when i fitted mine to my v9 i put tape on the bottom of the chip then glued it in place with a hot glue gun, have had no problems.

No, I put tape on the bottom of the infinity, then put glue on the tape and stuck it to the board.

when I install a modchip I only glue down the wires.

I think, may be it is easier to use double sided adhesive pad.

hey everyone hoepfully one of you can help. i have the SCPH-30001R version 5 PS2, made a bypass chip myself for the CDVD check but I am unable to locate the TP1 connection on the board... several different diagrams on several diff sites have not helped since they seem to show only other motherboards even when they claim they are 30001R types... the 5V and ground are relatively easy since once i find the tp1 i can choose, so really that is the only thing i need. Thx in advance for your help!
