i no u guys are thinkin "oh no not another DRM post" but i want to ask seeing as i payed legally for the wmv files i downloaded from a program called "adultpeer" i was expecting to have them indefinitely. yet it seems i can only play them for 7 days and cant burn or convert or anything.

is there any way in which i can get round this protection as i legally own the license? (except recording with screen capture, about to try that now)

Is the license permanent or does it expire? A license can be for a defined period of time, which would stop you from playing the files after the time has expired. I'd advise looking through whatever terms you agreed to for the service and if it doesn't mention the time limit I'd complain to them.
