Do i have to use special DVD's to be able to burn two layers or do standard plus discs work and if so what software can i use because i haven't seen any mention of dual layers in shrink/decrypter or nero. Could anyone help as this would mean i wouldn't have to compress the films at all?

I believe you have to use the new dual-layer media, which is like 8-10 bucks a disc right now, from what I've seen. But yeah, it would let you copy the film without compression onto a single disc.
