Nero Express 3 - making DVD hangs during transcoding

Hello,

I am running Nero Express 3, and when I try to make a DVD image file from a collection of MPEG files - then process starts OK, but hangs after 40 minutes during transcoding.

I seem to have success if I make a small image... but when I am trying to do here is to make a real DVD, with 2hrs 30mins of video (3MB/s makes it fit) and 20 chapters. All strung together from 10 MPEG files using Nero Express 3.

If the process completed - then I would at least have a logfile to start with, but what happens here is that the application runs for 40 mins using 99% CPU, and then just stops... the "time elapsed" keeps counting up - but the progress bar stops moving. I've left it overnight with no change.
