Quote: Christ I am old 55 on Sunday.
Old is all in how you approach things! In 05, I celebrated my 3 year anniversary of my Heart Attack by going Hang Gliding. Someone asked me what would have happened if I had had a heart attack 7000 ft. off the ground. I was pretty candid about it, I told him that I guess I would die! LOL!!

You'll find that hang gliders have improved a lot in 30 years! Then again, so has sex! LOL!!

If the last few years went past so quickly, how fast are the rest going to go by? It's a worrying prospect.

Why? If you for some reason don't wake up tomorrow, the only person that won't know it is you! It's called life! The final act is always the same, for everybody! We all wind up in a "Single Bed" eventually! Worrying won't change that one bit!
Some people worry so much about dying, that they forget to live! John Glenn, the American Astronaut was the first man to orbit the earth in a space capsule. When he came back, the Government thought him such a "National Treasure" that they passed an amendment to the Constitution banning him from ever returning to space. Many years later when the ban was finally lifted he went up in the Space Shuttle, do you think he was worried? To him, he was in Heaven. I doubt that he even thought about it!

Russ

I'll warn you ahead of time! It gets in your "blood", and it is habit forming! LOL!! I started Sky Diving in the early 60s, but due to the terrain here, Hang Gliding is much safer as you have a lot more say in the direction you go. Much more control.
I'm also a certified Scuba Diver and have been doing that since I was about 18! Depending on how deep you go, it can be a lot more dangerous than either Sky Diving or Hang Gliding. I got hooked on Scuba Diving from the American TV show, Sea Hunt when I was a little kid! (back in the stone age!) LOL!!

I think Sky King came a few years later, and it was Lloyd Bridges. Every healthy red-blooded american boy was in love with Penny though! LOL!! Before that, It was Annette on Mickey Mouse Club! (we all watched her boobs grow! LOL!!) There was also Darleen, and for the little kiddies, Karen! Much simpler times, than today! In many ways, better times!

Dunno about the rest of you old blokes, but it seems to me that whilst the outside ages, sags, succumbs to gravity, and grows hair in odd places, that the inside ages totally separately from the outside. Waddya reckon?
oh, does anyone have any feelings about having to shave ones ears?
58 until March.

I'll be turning 67 in December. As far as Sky King goes, I remember him mostly from the radio back in the '40s.

Penny was his niece, not his daughter, and she was hot. :)
I turned 58 earlier this month.

for whatever reason, turning 29 was the toughest so far for me, now being 33 I tend to think it was because I knew the next birthday would be 30 and I guess that is another step on the big aging process. If I felt that bad at 29, wonder what its going to be like in 6 years when I hit 39?
