I'm kind of new to DVD copying, does anybody have any good suggestions for a copying program?

Use DVD Shrink. Should be a link for it somewhere around here...

What are you trying to convert? If you're just trying to re-encode a DVD (compress it to fit it on a DVDR), then DVD Shrink will do that. If you're trying to convert something else you will have to be more specific.
