Downloaded movies are ususally in AVI format. They need converted to proper dvd format to play on stand alone players. Try this guide to get started.

Hi there,

If you have an .AVI file (Probably DivX Format) download VSO DivXtoDVD.

http://www.vso-software.fr/

Will convert your DivX AVI files to valid DVD files.

Then burn the VIDEO_TS directory with Nero (DVD-VIDEO)

Voila !

Hi there,

On the VSO Website, they are saying the next release of DivXtoDVD will support the conversion of more than 1 file, this means I will be able to queue up all my little MPG files my digital camera took, and make 1 nice DVD out of it !!!
