I have been a Adaptec/Roxio user since Easy CD Creator Version 3.0 -3.5 I actually Bought the Program before I got my first Pc so Iam somewhat familiar. And yes I have tried Nero in several versions Trial only and although I found it worked alright for me it was'nt enough of an improvement over what I already had and payed for LOL!. Anway I am not here to dog Nero it's a fine program with lots of adherents! My question is This are there any advantages & or disadvantages to using Creator Classic instead of DVD builder to burn my backups? I have been using DVD Decrypter for backing up those dvd's that don't need to be shrunk down otherwise I generally use DVD SHRINK to decrypt and compress and then Creator Classic to make my VIDEO TS_ File into An ISO. File After that I Have been using DVD BUILDER to burn my dvd's. I recently saw a post about Roxio /Creator classic & dvd burning here @ AfterDawn.Com which is what prompted me to post this . So Guys & Gals Does it make a difference in the final DVD using either program ? Such as player compatability ect. I have no problems with my APEX 1010W& Philips DVR-72 . I ask just in case I get another dvd player or have to make backups for the family (to play in the Van -portables ) ect. I look forward to your answers - Thanx everso much ! To all the AfterDawn.com community You're a Great Bunch of people !!!!! Peace

The main problem that people tend to have have with Roxio is that it does not play well with Nero and the two programs tend to compete for resources leading to conflicts.

If you have Roxio on your machine and it is working well - then by all means continue to use it.

It is mainly when people have both Roxio and Nero installed that problems seem to occur.
