Sorry for beating a dead horse?.
A suite of InterVideo DVD software came bundled with my ASUS motherboard ( AMD64 not Itanium). All the software appears to work under Windows XP64* except WinDVD Creator 2. All functions in Creator 2 work except the burning process. It does not see my DVD drive ( NEC oem model ND-3500ag ). When I run the Setup in Creator 2, it tells me something like ?ASPI manager not found.? My drive is NOT SCSI. Do I still need an ASPI drivers ? If so, I installed the latest ASPI drivers from Adaptec**, but I still get the error message after rebooting. Several other DVD Authoring software ( including other InterVideo products ) correctly burn DVDs in this environment.
Should I try next to install an older version - - Force Aspi ( frcASPI17.zip ) ?
Any suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

*It runs fine under Windows 98se. I have tried launching the software in XP64 under different compatibility modes with no success.
**With Adaptec, I tried install.bat xp64 and install.bat xp32. Neither solved the problem.
At the moment, it looks like install.bat did copy the files:
ASPI64.SYS is in / renamed to the Windows\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ASPI32.SYS
WNASPI64.DLL is in / renamed to the Windows \SYSTEM32\WNASPI32.DLL /Y
My Registry has an entry for ASPI32.sys?
When I run aspichk.exe, none of the components are installed.
