This question encompasses a few procedures so I hope this is the correct forum. To date I have been ripping my DVD's to hard disk with dvdshrink and burning them to DVD-R with Nero so this is about the extent of my expertise. Over Christmas I got an Iriver H320 mp3 player. I am told with a firmware upgrade it can play .avi video files. Now normally when I rip a DVD to HD I get VOB, .BUP and .IFO files, so my question is what software do I need and how do I get from the DVD to the .avi files I need to play on the H320. What software(free if poss) and what methodology would you reccommend.
