i have the at&t go phone service, basically prepaid, but more like a regular contract. there are only a few phones that are supported by at&t for this service so i am limited to selection. the best phone avaliable is the motorola v220, i purchased it, but now the screen crapped out. i can return it, but since at&t switched to cingular they have no more att phones to replace it. the only other option is to send to motorola and it may take some time to repair, or find a att v220 on ebay or something.

why are only certain phones supported for certain services? can't you just throw a sim card in any att phone? or is there something that will not let you use it with a certain service?

i also could, replace the lcd scren, a few on ebay, but i am not sure how difficult it is.

any suggestions?
