I got a movie that is a bunch of files like VOB, BUP, etc. ...I burned it just like the Nero guide suggested (putting all the files in VIDEO_TS folder) and my DVD player says "Error: Not NTSC". Perhaps there are other reasons why it gives this error (like that could be a "general error" when it encounters any problem at all) but I'm making the assumption that it actually is a region code problem. Correct me if you know otherwise.

Anyways, how exactly would I go about checking the region code for the file before wasting a disc? It doesn't say "PAL" anywhere!!!

Oh, and I have backed up other DVDs with this brand of discs, and I've had no problems there (as when I searched another forum, some people noted how picky standalone DVD players are about the disc brand.) I'm using Maxell brand, which I know to be good.

Thanks.
