I have an HP100i dvd writer and i need a program that will format my dvd disks before I can copy and burn dvd's. Can someone point me in the right direction

You should just be able to put the blank DVD-R or DVD-RW disk in your HP100i, then open up "My Computer" and right click on your dvd writer icon...a menu should pop up with a "Format" choice. Click that and Format it...it takes about 15 seconds. then you're all set. Good luck.
