ok here is your answer. Get Grade A media: ie. Verbatim, Maxwell, and FujiFilm -- mainly the taiyo yuden ones. Then make sure they are DVD-R or if your ps2 is v5 or higher get the DVD+R so they can play smoother. hope this helps

Yea I have a v5 and the dvd-r's dont work at all :/

my ps2 is v9 or v10 and it plays every DVD fine hehe
