Cucusoft AVI to DVD & MPEG to DVD Author problems

Hi I hope someone can help, I'm a newbie to AVI to DVD burning and what a headache i've got.

I'm using Cucusofts Avi to DVD converter pro v5.03. (apparently idiot proof) The problem is the mpeg2 thats created seems to have no sync to the audio.

Cucusofts mpeg to dvd Author creates the DVD files ok and I'm using Nero to burn the DVD, its good quality but the audio is well out.

Has anyone had the same problem? or got a solution?
