How to burn a downloaded movie onto a CD

I downloaded a movie from the computer and I want to put it onto a cd. I thought it would be the same way you would burn a cd but when i try to burn the movie the computer says that it had burned onto the cd but when i play it it say no disc can someone help me

In what format is the movie you downloaded? Xvid? DivX?

If you want to burn the movie to a CD that will be playable on a stand-alone player, you need to re-encode the movie to SVCD or VCD format. Click on the guides tab (upper right of web-page) to get instructions on how to do this.

Alternatively, you could just leave your movie in whatever format you have it in, and burn it to a CD... in Nero go to "Burn Data CD"
