I have purchased a no name 48x16x48 cd-rw burner. Since purchase it has worked well, with one exception. The burned cd's play ok on the PC and on my Kenwood car cd player, but will not play in my Olds with a Delco cd player. My old 6x4x32 burner would work in both. Using the same programs (Roxio) for each burner, tried a different brand of blank disc, no success. Any help would be appreciated.

Tried to slow down the burner speed, it did not help. Any other ideas?

Yes, I have tried all kinds of different things including using different burning software, different disc ( blanks ), slower speeds, etc. I don't think it is the car radio, but I am going to try another one next week, exactly like mine.

Try Memorex CD-R's. They are a little more expensive than other CD-Rs, but I've seen even the most picky CD players & CD-ROM drives play these without problems. I got mines off 7dayshop.com.

Seanbyrne,

Memorex is a brand, not a manufacturer. It distributes blanks by various manufacturers and doesn't have any exceptional features (even though some Memorex are made by Ritek, which is a good comapny).

See the CD-R media forum room

Fixed! I actually found 2 solutions to my problem. 1) The Memorex cd-r disc would play correctly in the car, even when burned at 48X. 2) The car stereo must have had an internal problem too, because I replaced it with an exchange radio and it played all my burned cd's. (Radio was under warranty) I now know that there is a big difference in the quailty of blank cd's, I will use only high quality cd's from now on. Thanks for all the help.
