Is it me or just AVI?

Hellooo.

I am using Nero VE3(its pretty aint it?) to burn down all different file types from MPEG/VCD/SVCD but alas when it comes to AVI on playback it seems to always play the audio back at a quicker rate than the video stream??? So by say the half way mark its 2 seconds out? When playing the original AVI back from MY HD its fine? This problem occurs with all AVI/ some Divx files.

Obviously its a encoding issue but only with AVI/Video clips?

I am currently running the Divx Pro 5.11 codec (also 5.2 but not yet installed)so yes i always get that annoying advert bottom right of screen but i wouldnt mind if the Audio/video streams ran in time!

Can anyone shed any light because i am murdering poor defenceless blank DVD-R's like lambs to slaughter.

System:

Nero BR 6603 & VE 30114 , with SP2 updates
Pioneer DVR-A06 4x
