Is there any way to check to see if an Xvid movie that I want to torrent is QPEL encoded? I have a Philips DVP642 which doesnt support QPEL. I don't want to waste my time downloading it, then burning it, only to have it not work. If there isn't a way to know before I download it, then atleast is there a way I can check it before I burn it???

if you're using bittorent, usually you can't open the file until its finished. if you're using standard p2p, get divfix to reindex the unfinished file. you can download GSpot to check for qpel and other stuff.

i can only tell you that you can see if its QPEL or not by using FFDShow OSD.

but i can't tell you how to before downloading it. maybe you can get a clip of it to play...
