Yahoo messenger web cam locks up computer

My intel camera has been used for 2 years with yahoo as a web cam... Lately I unplugged it , now when i try to use yahoo messenger web can it freezes up my computer...

I think Internet explore has downloaded an ActiveX\com file and it's become invalid???

This problem is also refered to in sp-2.

I found a reference to the add on in IE, tools, Manage add ons, add ons used by IE..

I ran a pit stop scan and it says several problems exist with active X\com files..

It's all greek to me, any ideas on how to fix???
