i dont know anything about burning dvd's and i know ur supposed to look at the guides and stuff 1st b4 posting but none of them make sense to me. all i want to do is copy a dvd i have to a blank memorex dvd+r. my bro put dvd decrypter on my computer but i dont know how to use it. what else do i need copy the movie...and what exactly do i have to do!?

First and foremost welcome to AD. I feel you are going to have to get a basic understanding of this on your own through a little trial and error I think. Keep reading those Guides until they make some sense to you, they aren't too difficult to grasp. There are 3 basic things that are involved in backing up a DVD movie and they are:

1. Ripping
2. Compression/Re-Encoding
3. Burning

Of course there may be more than that from time to time but that's just a basic rundown. There is a wealth of info on all three of these topics, not only in the guides but also on the forums as well. Try doing a search on "ripping" or "Shrinking" and see what you get, may surprise you.

Also a free tip: Stay away from Memorex if you can. Not very good for burning. Go with something like Verbatim, or Ritek/Ridata if you can find them. (Radioshack carries Ridata)
