99 out of 100 times, when you download a movie in .avi format , IT IS DIVX.. Follow the guide and see if it works for you.

And it's only after that, Sergei, that your *real* problems start! Just _wait_ until you try to author your vcd-like video files to DVD !!!

You're a brave, very brave man. (They tell me it can be done, and I've done it myself), but only with JERKY motion video, and the audio/video sync was off by light-years. Also, I can't get any more than *one* video file onto the dvd by using ifoedit. Which sucks, because you can get a LOT of vcd-quality video onto a single dvd. (9+ hour's-worth).

But, it seems, getting any more than just *one* video title on a dvd is a "feature" of ifoedit that Derrow (author of ifoedit) hasn't implemented yet.

Grrrrrrrrrrr........

Oops....sorry.

In that case, the a/D article VCDJunkie points to should take care of everything.

btw, this is maybe bit off the topic but must source avi (and that way VCD too) be same as TV is? I mean that if I have TV what is PAL, must video be PAL too? Or can it play other formats too?

Hey I encountered problem while I was trying to convert my avi and subtitles to mpg. I followed your guide carefully and when I let movie to be previewed I didn't see any subtitles and no sound. I am sure that video and subtitles are in same folder with same name (in my case like this: C:\E.avi and C:\E.srt) and that VPAFI something... Direct something... plugin is first in priority list as manual states. I have totally lost and manual says that play video in Media Player. Ok, I played and selected subtitle option there, still no subs. What am I doing wrong and what I must do to correct this? And one q left. Must video FPS be same as TV?
