2.0 is the more recent, 2.0 is also more compatible with recent games. You should get the 2.0 it is really cheap now, I got mines from http://www.solidentertainmentuk.com. I dont think you can get the old version, it would be a waste of money anyway. Also 2.0 can handle up 200gb drives.
