I am brand new at burning and have a few questions.

First off I am using DVD Shrink (3.1) and when I try to make a back up and select the ISO DISC IMAGE I get an error near the end of the encoding...I think that it is a VOB error. So not knowing what I am doing I selected the "hard disc folder" which then is was able to complete the encoding successfully. And I was able to burn it in Nero, and the DVD plays great on my stand alone player.

So I tried to follow those same steps with another DVD, slecting the "hard disc folder" and it would not burn in Nero..Nero said there was not enough space on the hard disc...but it was a blank brand new disc, so I tried the "ISO DISC IMAGE" option and I received an error again.

Now I am woundering if I may be missing a file or something that may be a nesessary the use the ISO option.

Which option is best, ISO or hard disc folder?

I do have DVD decrypter but every time I try to run it I get a message saying that the file is too large...I have only like 255mb of RAM

Any help that could guide me in the right direction would be greatley appreiciated.

Thank you
AJ

In Shrink, click on Edit, Preferences, and choose 'Custom' for disc size. Make it 4350 MB.

when you put the dvd in,click open disc.
the contents of the dvd will be displayed.
take out any thing you dont want,..for example subtitles etc...
make sure these settings are set
#1..edit>preferences>click custom>enter the figure 4350
#2..edit>preferences>file i/o>disable burning with nero(just untick it)..
once you are happy, click "burn" a new option folder will appear.your backup target should be set to...
"ISO image file and burn with decrypter"
click ok

OK, I think that I had an old version of SHRINK, I downloaded a newer version and it said "create an ISO IMAGE AND BURN IN DVD DECRYPTER" which my older version did not say...and this thing is working like a dream.

Big thanks to everyone that helped me out
