i have been trying to convert a video clip file to dvd the file wen i got it said it was (avi xvid) in title but it comes up as video clip on properties and the audio is mpeg layer 3 . which program would be the best to do this task

Your File Probably is a XviD file with VBR MP3 audio....
You can use any encodeing program to convert the File to Mpeg-2 for DVD accept you Might want to decompress the audio in the AVI file first before encodeing it because many encoders do not like Compressed Audio in the Files thay are encodeing....

Something like TMPGEnc Xpress or MainConcept Encoder would be just fine for this and if you want a Tool to decompress the audio in your AVI file before encodeing it then PM me with your Email address and I"ll send you one .....
