I got a DVD which was burned from a VHS video with subtitles, Am I right in assuming nothing can be done to remove these subtitles from the DVD? On a normal commercial DVD does the ability to remove subtitles depend on there being a dedicated subtitle stream which could be removed? I tried to remove subtitles from a subtitled commercial DVD using DVD decrypter by not selecting that stream in stream processing but the VOB produced still has them. Can IFOEDIT help remove subtitles if I rip the whole movie including IFOs? One of their guides described stripping streams but saving to a temp file for burning to DVD. Ideally what I would like is to get a VOB wihout the subtitles for conversion to MPG which I know how to do on a basic level with TMPEG
