AR Max wont let me update

Good day to you guys,
Am having trouble with my PS2(model 5001)US version with Magic V modchip.I have the AR Max with memory card.
Was able to download the latest codes and updates from codejunkies last month and the next time i tried until now, I cannot do it.It will boot up nice and connect to the server, listing all the recent codes and updates. But once i clicked download, the screen freezes and though i waited long nothing is happening.
Need your help on this one,,,greatly appreciate any thing that can enlighten this issue.
